Task Force Argo is a 501(c)(3) coordinating safe passage, resettlement, and dignity-driven support for Afghan allies and U.S. citizens stranded abroad.
We are 240 volunteers, private citizens, who came together in September and October of 2021 to evacuate 2,100 Americans and Afghan Allies left behind in Afghanistan. Our volunteers worked tirelessly across time zones and borders, driven by loyalty, urgency, and love of their Afghan military brothers and sisters. The mission continues. Thousands more have been helped since, and the promise to stand with those who stood with us remains unbroken.
Mission:
We are dedicated to assisting Afghan allies in their pursuit of lawful pathways to United States citizenship and their escape from the oppressive Taliban regime in Afghanistan. Simultaneously, we are committed to supporting and empowering rescued Afghan ally families as they assimilate and thrive in the United States. Our organization’s strength lies in the unwavering dedication of those who serve as the cornerstone of our mission. They are the primary interlocutors, bridging the gap between Afghan allies in need and the resources necessary for their successful transition.
Areas of Focus:
1. Continued Liaison with U.S. Government Entities.
2. Support for Trapped Afghan ally families in Afghanistan and third countries, which includes the delivery of food packages.
3. Assistance for Rescued Afghan ally families in the United States.
4. Continued Advocacy with Key U.S. Government Elements.
5. Mental Health and Resiliency Support for Afghan allies and Task Force Argo volunteers.
We intend to honor the commitment and help
those left behind in Afghanistan navigate this crisis.
Thanks to the generosity of our donors, Task Force Argo was able to charter flights out of Afghanistan - at no cost to the passengers. Not one Afghan ally or American evacuee paid for a seat, for the transport to the airport, or for the safe houses where they waited in hiding. Every step was covered by compassion. Today, Task Force Argo continues the mission, working alongside the U.S. State Department to support those left behind. This work, lifesaving and relentless, comes at a cost that volunteers alone cannot bear. We need your help. Your donation does more than offer hope. It keeps the promise.
